How much does data recovery cost?
Every case is different, so we start with a free evaluation. Once we know what's wrong with the device we give you a firm quote. Nothing is done until you approve it, and if we can't recover your data, you don't pay for the recovery.
Do I have to live near Burbank?
No. We accept mail-in devices from anywhere in the USA. If you're in Los Angeles County, the Inland Empire or Ventura County we can also arrange pickup and drop-off.
How long does it take?
Most logical recoveries are completed in a few business days. Physical failures that need donor parts or specialist lab work take longer. Emergency priority service is available.
My drive is clicking — what should I do?
Turn it off and leave it off. Clicking usually means a head or mechanical problem, and every power-on can scratch the platters and reduce what can be recovered. Do not run recovery software or open the drive.
Is my data kept confidential?
Yes. Your device and files are handled only by our technicians, never shared, and recovered copies are securely wiped from our systems after you confirm receipt.
How do I get my data back?
Recovered files are returned on a new external drive shipped to you, or by secure download for smaller recoveries. You can check the list of recovered files before you pay.
